My yoga practices are heavily influenced by Katonah Yoga®.
Taoism and sacred geometry weave throughout all I teach and all I know.
Yoga should be practical, measured, technical and reformative.
The aim is to transcend personal belief’s, bad habits, poor technique and negative self talk. Liberation from our conditioning is only achieved by digging deep to unearth residue and rising high to see a bigger picture.
Seeing oneself within the bigger picture allows one to act with ease, with knowingness.
Ideally we make the mind, the ego, subservient to the self. We let the gut, the intuition, the deeper knowing, spring forth. This requires a breakdown of what we believe to be true, of what we were taught, of all we know.
It is from intuition that we can act in a way that serves us, our bigger picture, the earth.
It is what is necessary in these times.
I have limited space for yoga offerings, however do not hesitate to contact me for private sessions, skype sessions or to have me attend your studio for workshops.
KATONAH YOGA® was founded by Nevine Michaan, and is a Hatha yoga practice refined over forty years, blended with Taoist theory, sacred geometries, pranayama, and meditation. For more information, please visit http://www.katonahyoga.com.
